HIA is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to drive new pipeline creation through proactive outbound prospecting. This is a true “hunter” role focused on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities and setting high-quality discovery calls and meetings for the Business Development team.

This role is ideal for a disciplined prospecting professional who excels at outbound outreach, understands complex B2B sales cycles, and consistently delivers qualified opportunities. The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in HIA’s growth strategy by fueling pipeline development and expanding market reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently research and identify high-value prospects using HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other data sources
  • Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, social outreach, and multi-channel campaigns
  • Conduct market research and formulate strategies to execute successful service line and geographic based prospecting.
  • Engage in service line–specific and geographic based prospecting to achieve HIA’s expansion goals
  • Qualify prospects by uncovering business needs, challenges, buying triggers, and decision-making processes
  • Set qualified discovery calls, meetings, and/or demonstrations for Business Development Managers
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely records of all prospecting activities within HubSpot
  • Partner closely with Marketing to refine outreach strategies, targeting, and messaging
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and meeting-setting goals
  • Stay current on HIA’s services, value propositions, competitive landscape, and industry trends

Preferred Experience in the following service lines:

  • Coding, CDI and/or HIM areas
  • Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center and Physician Group settings

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous successful outbound prospecting, lead generation, or sales development experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and meeting-setting targets
  • Strong cold-calling skills with confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience prospecting into healthcare organizations preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM and prospecting tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred)
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and disciplined in managing daily outreach activities
  • Resilient, persistent, and motivated by performance-based goals
